Print location labels
You can generate location labels in Lagersystem. It's a good idea to place the location numbers on the shelving units so that the lowest numbers are as close to the gate/packing table as possible, so that the system can generate as optimal a picking route as possible.
When printing labels, it is important to make sure they are not scaled, as this can cause problems scanning the barcodes. It is also recommended to print labels at a quality equivalent to 600 dpi*.
You can read more about recommendations and choosing a printer here.
You have several options for printing location labels, which are described in the following sections
Print labels from a location series
You can print all location labels in a location series. Create the location series; you can see this guide for how to do this.
Once the location series has been created, you can click the barcode icon next to the location series, and thereby print the barcodes.
Print a location label from an item location
You can print location labels individually by looking up an item in the "Item location" menu. Click the barcode icon next to the item that is at the location for which you want to print a label.
Select the location, and click Generate. You now have the option to print the label.
* If you choose to use label formats other than those recommended by Lagersystem, it may cause problems when scanning labels. It is therefore recommended to test the printout before printing labels for the entire warehouse. Likewise, Lagersystem only provides support for the use of standard formats when printing.
