Import locations

If you want to import locations, click on Warehouse and Item location.

Click on warehouse and item location.

This page is then displayed:

Start by clicking "Export all locations"

You will now get a CSV / Excel file with two columns.

In column A, enter the item number of the item, and in column B, enter the location number where that item is stored.
The easiest way to go through the entire warehouse is to bring a laptop connected to a USB barcode scanner out into the warehouse, possibly on a trolley. Simply scan the barcode of the location while you're in column B. A simple USB barcode scanner as shown in the picture.

NOTE! Be aware that when importing locations, existing locations are overwritten for the item numbers you import locations for. So you cannot add extra locations via import. If an item number needs to have multiple locations, they must all be included, each on its own line, in the file you import.
Therefore, you can also reset the locations of an item by importing an item number without a location.

Once you have filled in the file, you must import it to Lagersystem.dk by clicking "Import locations".

Click the "Choose file" button and then select the file on your computer that contains your items and locations.

Then select the encoding. Latin-1 is typically the correct one if you're using a Windows computer, and UTF-8 is typically the correct one for Apple and other computers.
Then click the "Upload" button

You will then be shown this screen, but with the content that is in your file:

In the "Skip lines" field, select how many lines from the top of the sheet should not be imported. In this case, it is one line that should not be imported, since line 1 contains the labels "Itemnumber" and "Location". The lines that will not be imported are marked in red.

Then select in the dropdown menu above each column what kind of content is in that column.

Then click "Import"

Your data should now be imported, and Lagersystem.dk is now updated with which items are stored at which locations.
