Email archive

Email archive is a settings page that shows all outgoing emails sent from Lagersystem. The page is searchable and can be filtered, so you can quickly find a specific email.

You'll find the page under Setup → Email archive.

About the status indication​

The status indication on each email only tells you that the email has been handed off to a sending provider (gateway) — it is not proof that the recipient has actually received the email. There is no feedback from the provider back into the system, so an email can easily appear as sent even though it never arrives.

Columns​

The list shows the following columns for each email:

  • ID — the email's sequence number, which also reflects the order in which the emails were sent.
  • Date — when the email was sent.
  • Recipients — the recipient's email address(es).
  • Subject — the email's subject field.
  • Sender — sender name and address.
  • Status — a colored badge showing the email's state: queued, handed off, held by a gateway, blocked, or never sent. If the email did not have a valid recipient address, the badge shows that instead of the saved status, and a held email always shows the held status, regardless of what is otherwise saved.

At the far end of the row there is a magnifying glass icon to open the email.

Only the ID column can be sorted by clicking the column header. By default, the list shows the newest emails at the top. The other columns are for display only and cannot be sorted, as the table is shared across all installations and is not indexed on them.

Filtering​

Below the column headers there is a filter row with two fields:

  • A text field under Recipients, where you can search on the beginning of a recipient address.
  • A dropdown under Status, where you can select All or a specific status.

Subject, Sender, and Date cannot be filtered.

View an email​

Click the magnifying glass next to an email to open it in a separate view. The view shows Subject, Sender, Recipients, and Date at the top, plus Attachments if the email has any, followed by the email's actual content. If the email is older than 60 days, a note is shown stating that it has been retrieved from the archive.
