Lagersystem Label Printer Wi-Fi Setup

The Lagersystem Label Printer supports printing via Wi-Fi (wireless network). To set up the printer to connect to your wireless network, the printer must be connected to a Windows computer via USB. After that, you need to download a program called "Diagnostics Tool". With the "Diagnostics Tool" you can configure the printer's wireless network.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Download "Diagnostics Tool v. 1.028b".

Once you have downloaded the zip file above, you need to extract it on your computer. Right-click the file and click "Extract All"

Then click "Extract".

Open the extracted folder and double-click the "Diagnostic Tool" icon.

Once the program is open, click "Get status", after which the indicator should turn green. This confirms that there is a connection to the printer via USB and that the program is able to communicate with the printer.

Click the "BT/WIFI" tab

A list of the wireless networks the printer can see will now appear.

Select your network from the list. Remember that it must be a wireless network that the computer you want to print from has access to.

Once you have selected the network from the list, the network's name appears in the "Name" field. You then need to enter the network password in the "PIN" field. If you check the box to the right, you can see what you type in the field; otherwise, your input will be shown as dots.

Click the "Conn" button to connect to the network. If the connection is established correctly, you will see that the printer receives an IP address. Note down this IP address for later use.

The printer is now set up for Wi-Fi. It can be a good idea to set up a DHCP reservation in your router, to make sure your printer always gets the same IP address.

Install the Printer via Network on Windows 10

Download the driver for the Lagersystem Label Printer and run the installation.

In the installation program, select "Install printer drivers" and click the "Next" button.

Select "Network" and then click the "Next" button

Select 4BARCODE 4B-2054K from the list and click the "Next" button

Click the "Create Port" button.

Select "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click the "New Port" button

Click "Next"

Enter the printer's IP address, which you noted during the network setup on the printer. You can always go back into the "Diagnostic Tool" to see the printer's IP address.

The installation attempts to connect to the printer – this takes a moment

The installation automatically asks for more information about the port; simply click the "Next" button. The device type should be set to "Standard" and "Generic Network Card". Click the "Next" button.

The port has now been created. Click "Finish"

Then click "Close"

Next, select the new port from the list, with your printer's IP address. This is typically the one selected by default. Then click "Next"

Give the printer a descriptive name, optionally noting that this printer is connected via the network.

Then click the "Next" button

Click "Finish" to install your printer via the network. An installation will then run. This takes a short moment.

This screen will then appear. Click "Close" to finish the installation.
