Park order – finish packing the order later

By parking an order, you can "save" the order to be finished packing at a later time, and resume the order right where you left off.

For example, it can be useful to park an order if the order is so large that it takes several days to pack, or if you need to go to lunch in the middle of an order.

The need can also arise if you are waiting for one of the items on the order to come back into stock, and you prefer to send the entire order at once rather than doing a partial delivery. In that case, you can start by packing the items you have in stock and then park the order until the remaining items come back into stock, at which point the entire order can be shipped.

How to enable parking in Lagersystem

First, make sure the Lagersystem app on your handheld terminal is updated to version 2.81 or newer. Read how to update the software here.

To be able to park orders, the feature must be activated in the settings in your Lagersystem.

Go to "Setup" → Order setup → Press the "General" tab → Check "Allow parking". Remember to scroll down and save.

Once it is enabled, you can start parking orders.

How to park orders from the handheld terminal

When "Allow parking" is enabled in your Lagersystem, you get a new option on your handheld terminal while working on an order. Under the pick list you will see a new button with the text "Park order":

You can always press the button and park the order, no matter how much of the order you have already picked.

Once the order is parked, it will appear in Order handling in Lagersystem under a new category called "Parked":

The order remains under "Parked orders" until it is sent to a scanner again – either manually from Lagersystem, or by scanning the packing slip with the handheld terminal again.

Once the order is assigned to a scanner again, you can continue the order where you left off and complete it – or park it again and complete it at a later time.
