Packaging declarations on items and item categories
For reporting under the EU Packaging Regulation, you can register which packaging materials an item or an item category contains — both the packaging the item is delivered in and the packaging it is transported in. This information is used to document the material composition of the packaging consumed in connection with the sale.
Packaging can be registered in two places:
- On the individual item, in the Packaging tab of the item's details popup.
On an item category, in the new item category declaration settings, so several items can share the same packaging information. The Packaging declarations page is found under Settings.
If you have not yet created any item categories, the page informs you of this, and you can instead register the packaging directly on the item under the Packaging tab, or on the transport packaging.
Register the packaging declaration either directly on the item or on the category the item belongs to, depending on where it makes sense to keep the information consistent across several items.
Once the packaging has been registered on the individual items and/or item categories, you can pull a packaging report that can be used for reporting under the Packaging Regulation.
