Create users in Lagersystem

In Lagersystem you have the option to create regular users and scanner users, if you want to keep track of your activities. It also allows you to assign orders to specific handheld scanners.

Regular user or scanner user?

In Lagersystem we distinguish between 2 types of users. There is a regular user, who has access to both your computer site + handheld scanner. The other type is a scanner user, who only has access to the handheld scanner.

Where do I add users?

You add new users under Setup + General setup + User list. Here you get an overview of your current users and can create new ones by clicking Add user.

Create a regular or scanner user

When you click Add user, you will be asked to enter a username and name for the user you have created. If the user is to be created as a Scanner user, you do not need to fill in password and email. You can simply check the box next to Scanner user. If the user is to have full access to Lagersystem, they must be created with email and password.

Log in as a user

You have 2 options for logging in to your handheld scanner as a user. You can either go to settings and tap the correct username, or you can create a barcode for the user and scan it.

Log in from the handheld scanner

If you want to log in from the handheld scanner, tap the menu bar on the right side.

Tap into settings in the menu.

Here you can tap the scanner name you have created in Lagersystem.

Log in with barcode

If you want to print barcodes for your new user, click the barcode icon. The barcode can be used to log the warehouse employee into the handheld scanner.

Click the barcode icon to create barcodes.

REMEMBER to check the box next to Print with item number and title, since this will put the scanner name on the barcode, which makes it easier to choose the correct barcode.

You will then get a barcode that you can print. You can hang this barcode up at the warehouse so the warehouse employees can scan in and out. Then you just scan the barcode, and you're logged in as the right user!
